Soccer: Baddow's player appeal

Children looking for a way to alleviate Sunday boredom, improve their fitness, or maybe start to become a future Rio Ferdinand, could find this might be the opportunity they're looking for.

Local under 11's team Baddow Spartak are looking to grow their squad, for the forthcoming season and are inviting local youngsters (who'll return to school in year six after the summer holidays) to come and join in one of their training sessions.

Andy Brown of Baddow Spartak said, " We're looking for players of all abilities, so whether the children currently play for another team or haven't played team football before is irrelevant.

"We're a very friendly club and like to see the children enjoying themselves, by playing good football."
